New York Government Already Legalize Gay Marriage

           New york became the sixth and the largest state in the US to legalize gay marriage, it was happened after days of contentious negotiations and reversals by two Republican Senators.

           At New York City's Stonewall Inn, the Greenwich Village pub that spawned the gay rights movement on a June night in 1969, Scott Redstone watched New York sign the historic same-sex marriage law with his partner of 29 years, and popped the question.

           This decided can make the people happy and celebrate but always there  were pros and cons. The bill makes New York only the third state, after Vermont and New Hampshire, to legalize marriage through a legislative act and without being forced to do so by a court.

           A huge street party erupted outside the Stonewall Inn Friday night, with celebrants waving rainbow flags and dancing after the historic vote.

The search for possible survivors from Monday's blast was called off overnight because of rising methane gas levels in the Massey Energy Co.'s sprawling Upper Big Branch mine near Montcoal, about 30 miles south of West Virginia's state capital, Charleston. Higher levels of methane gas increase the risk of another explosion. Officials said at a news conference before dawn this morning that three bore holes must be drilled into the earth to allow the toxic gases to escape and the air to clear before rescuers can re-enter.

NEW BERN, N.C. – Civil patrol members nationwide took part in a ceremony Saturday to honor the military by placing wreaths at memorials and cemeteries across the country as part of the Wreaths Across America ceremony. During the ceremony, there were seven wreaths placed at a cemetery in New Bern. But afterward, families who have a loved one buried there were also able to place a wreath by their grave. 'This is the first I've heard of this, and I think it's a wonderful thing,' Martha Lewis, whose late husband was a service member, said. 'I just didn't understand what it was all about until I got here, but to me it's an honor.'

Similar ceremonies were held throughout the country and in other parts of the state. Each began at noon, and they all honored the thousands of men and women who are serving or have served the country. The ceremonies started nearly 20 years ago, and now, more than 5,000 wreaths are donated every year. The wreaths are sent from Maine to Arlington National Cemetery every year, and from there, they are sent on to each state. There were more than 200 Wreaths Across America ceremonies held Saturday.
